HBC Celebrates Grand Opening Of Corporate Office In India
Bengaluru, India (October 16, 2017) –HBC celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate office in Bengaluru, India on Friday, October 13. The new location is home to corporate teams focused on Finance & Accounting, Technology, Merchandise Operations and other shared services. The 67,000 sq. ft. office is located in the Manyata Embassy Business Park and will employ approximately 450 associates. HBC’s entrance into this market will also expand the company’s global footprint and further establish HBC as a truly global company.
The teams in the India office will play an integral role in executing HBC’s strategic plan and the new in-house opportunities will grow HBC’s capabilities and support functions across the business. Bengaluru’s workforce has deep experience in a variety of areas, including finance and accounting, technology, merchandise operations, as well as other shared services and will support HBC’s operations on an ongoing basis.
The grand opening celebration kicked off on Friday with HBC senior leadership visiting from New York and Toronto. The festivities continued on Saturday with a special event dedicated to the team and their families with music and kid-friendly activities.
To commemorate the office opening, HBC has made a donation to Christel House in Bengaluru, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of impoverished children around the world. HBC has committed to continuing to support the Christel House and is implementing an employee volunteer program.
